Midtown Greenway
From Bikeview - Infrastructure Wiki
The Midtown Greenway is an off-street and largely grade-separated bicycle and pedestrian corridor running east/west across south Minneapolis just north of Lake Street.
The Greenway is considered by many to be the crown jewel of Minneapolis biking infrastructure. It provides a bicycle super highway across town, allowing people to avoid surface streets and traffic. The trail is plowed and maintained throughout the winter to provide a 24/7 corridor every day of the year.

[edit] Ownership, Maintenance and Advocacy
The Midtown Greenway is owned by Hennepin County and is maintained by the city of Minneapolis. The Midtown Greenway Coalition (MGC) is a nonprofit organization consisting of staff, a board, and committees all focused on advocacy and planning related to the greenway. The coalition does not have any direct role in construction or maintenance of the trail, a somewhat common misconception.
