Mendota Bridge
From Bikeview - Infrastructure Wiki
The Mendota Bridge carries Highway 55 over the Minnesota River from the southern edge of Minneapolis to Mendota Heights. It has a separated sidepath for bicycles and pedestrians on the northern edge of the bridge deck (along the westbound lanes of auto traffic).

[edit] Snow removal
MnDOT plows the sidepath and access trails in the winter, but they do a poor job and often do not clear the bridge for several days after a snowfall. If this bothers you, please call MnDOT and politely voice your concerns. As they hear from more users of the bridge, ground will hopefully be gained and the expedient clearing of the sidepath will become a higher priority for MnDOT.
