The Lake Calhoun bike trail is a popular recreational grade-separated, multi-use, one-way bike trail encircling Lake Calhoun in south Minneapolis. Total distance is approx. 3.2 miles.

This trail is available to both bicycles and in-line skaters, and is often crossed by pedestrians traveling from parking to the lake & beaches, the boat landing & rentals, various park areas or the walking trail. People with pets is also very common.
[edit] Speed Limit and Direction
Speed limit on this trail is marked 10 MPH, and has been enforced. Police patrol on bikes as well as squad cars on the adjacent Parkway. Direction of travel is clockwise around the lake. Due to the large numbers children, pets, non-cycling trail users and crossing pedestrians, this is generally the safest speed during peak times of the year.
