And Tip O' the Hat: all the cagers who slept in this morning! It's so much nicer without you clogging all the roads!

Wag of the Finger :
Knee high kid with baseball glove who came running out from behind a truck right in front of me this morning. He would have been invisible if I was driving an SUV, he was close enough in front of me and short enough that he would have been under the line of sight created by the hood of most vehicles.
He's lucky that I have good brakes. Stupid damn three-four year olds. Why didn't his parents keep him on a leash instead of letting him play on the street?

WOTF: To the bitch who honked at me in anger and to whom I rightly flicked off.
TOTH: To the guy who was behind her who pulled up next to me and said "I agree.". That guy rocked.

Wag: Whoever honked at me this morning as I was riding north along Marquette from the Convention Center. I was even keeping up with traffic and had a right to take the whole left lane.
Wag: Me. I thought the person who honked pulled around into the right lane, so I looked over and shouted (not too aggressively but with an elevated voice), "I have a right to the lane here" as the car pulled past. The guy was like, "I didn't honk at you!" Oh. Nevermind.

Wag: The old, white-haired lady and her GIANT cadillac doors on Summit Ave. It takes only a second to look into your rear-view mirror. My life flashed before me.

Wag O' the Finger: Me, check to make sure your bags are zipped closed before you leave home in the morning.
Tip O' the Hat: Lady who found my wallet and returned it with all things in tact. Hooray for honest folks!

Tip: One tip o' the hat each to the two riders (one going east, the other west) who slowed on the Greenway Friday to see if I was all right or needed anything as i topped off the air in my tire. The guy going east passed me then looped back to check! Thanks. Made my first commute to work that much sweeter.
And another tip: To the bike mechanic who struggled mightily with my back brake to make the last leg of that first commute that much safer.
Wag: Me. Why did I wait until the last day of bike to work week to try this?

Wag O' the Finger: The old homeless-looking guy in a beat up Taurus who swerved left into a parking spot on Portland right in front of me. First time I ever locked up my brakes and almost went over the front when it wasn't on purpose.
Wag O' the Finger: The group of kids yelling at me for yelling at the guy who cut me off.
Tip O' the Hat: Every single driver on University Ave in Columbia Heights and Fridley who made me realize that 47 is in fact a great road to ride on (albeit boring as all heck).

wag o' the finger(story from milwaukee):
Two Milwaukee residents who purchased $11 worth of merchandise at a church rummage sale told Thiensville police they thought a young girl's new Trek bicycle was part of the deal. It wasn't.
The woman, 61, and her husband, 68, were busted at Village Park on Saturday, where their granddaughter was riding the bike they had taken from a parking lot at Grace Lutheran Church, according to Thiensville police. The church was having a rummage sale, outdoor party and bike blessing at noon.
The Trek bike was lined up with other children's bicycles to be blessed by the minister. The girl's father, 40, of Brown Deer, later told police that two older people had taken his daughter's new bike. They had placed it in their car and drove away.
When police found the couple at the park, they explained they thought the bike was part of their rummage purchases. Police took the bike back, returned it to the owner and ticketed the grandparents for theft.

TOTH: All the people who waved and gave me the right of way when I was running errands. Hard to be crabby about a girl in a pink dress on a vintage cruiser.
WOTF: The jerk at Rainbow who took the entire bike rack by placing his bike parallel against it rather than taking a single slot. Dude, you didn't even have fenders that wouldn't fit in the slot!
