Things have been getting too easy recently. Certain people are repeatedly scoring in all three tag games simultaneously. It's time to up the ante a bit with another game.
The rules:
1) All bikes used in a tag photo must be off of the ground on some type of structure. The higher the better, within reason.
2) Try to recreate the previous tag as closely as possible; this keeps things fun and challenging. If you are unable or are limited by something beyond your control, just do your best.
3) When posting new tag, you must provide some sort of map link of the previous tag with your photo.
4) Tags must be located within the city limits of Minneapolis or Saint Paul to be valid.
The first tag:
Go get 'em!

FYI, typical photo tag courtesy is to not give away the location unless you successfully get the tag or it's getting really stale. In case of staleness, hints are preferred.

Is that you hanging with your bike? Now I have to start carrying a mini tripod with me so I can set the timer. Great. Looks shopped by the way.

DP, what are you doing typing when you could be out tagging?!
Yep; I'm hanging upside down next to my bike. I don't carry a tripod, so I used a stick to prop up the front of the camera with the whole thing sitting on a sidewalk. Not elegant, but perfectly functional.
There's no Photoshop work here; it's straight off of the camera. That's just what those types of lights look like when white balanced for tungsten light. I like to use tungsten for night stuff because it avoids the ugly magenta cast that auto balance tends to dream up.

I could say the same for you! You ride all over creation with a camera, yet your tags numbers remain low. You should be a champ. At any rate, am I banned from this game due to my heavy involvement in the other games?
I would hate to bring Coon Rapids style dominance to another game.....

deplaqer wrote: I could say the same for you! You ride all over creation with a camera, yet your tags numbers remain low. You should be a champ. I always seem to be headed to and from Eagan. There's not a lot of tag activity along my commute, unfortunately. Now that it's getting nicer out, I'll be doing a lot more of the scenic route on the way home from work, and it is one of my goals to start catching up at the tagging games. Banned? Absolutely not! Now you just have to work a little harder to hold all the tags at once. You're more than welcome to participate; I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of creative stuff you come up with.
So who's going to get the first tag?

The one place I thought this might be turned out to be wrong so I'm stumped.
But I would like to say that this is a really sweet idea for a game!

That would be me.
Brackett Park/Field
Not a quality shot, nor as high up as the predecessor. Then again MacG didn't have to fight off little children to get a clear shot.
New one. Look at that form!

So do you need to pose your bike and yourself just like deplaqer to get the tag?

Yeah dude, its both. This shit is on.
Also, Sir MacGyver has not specified the rider being in the picture, and he said: do your best, which means: have fun and don't do stupid shit that you can not pull off. Unless i did not understand the rules in which case he can send me a bitchy pm (public massage.) Well you know what i mean.
And yes, Mr. D. That is the sexiest bike related photo I have ever seen. Good fucking job

Exactly. Try to replicate the original (including placing yourself in the shot if necessary), but don't do anything you're not comfortable with or aren't prepared for. This should be fun and challenging, not stupid and dangerous. Deplaqer needed to place his bike and self lower on the jungle gym to take his photo because there were kids all over the place; A great example of a perfectly acceptable judgment call given the situation at hand.
Nice tag, D. I'm 90% sure I know exactly where that is, and I'm thinking about heading out to get it right now.
