Just as blustery as before, but this morning it was excessively painful. I could still wear what I did yesterday and be warm, but it be hard going.

certain legs of my commute this morning were almost comical, with me being blasted sideways by gusts of wind from both sides and correcting by swerving back and forth like a drunken sailor. Wheeee!

Most of my commute is east on the Greenway - It's going to be a SWEET tailwind in about 20min.
Of course, I'll probably be wishing I had a geared bike on the way home...

Heh, my commute out to Golden Valley was the bear, but Olson Memorial Highway was a dream come true on the way back. Does anyone have any good reccomendations fro reducing wind drag aside from spending several hundred bucks on equipment?

Or always bike East.
I'm kind of concerned; the SW LRT btw. Wooddale and Blake (esp. btw. Louisiana and Blake) is usually well protected from the wind by trees and brush, but the city has been clearing a lot of that recently. You can usually jam that whole section, but it's much less of a wind-protected tunnel now.
Whiskey helps w/ the wind. Makes you lose track of time so you don't realize how fuckin slow you're moving.

Downtown makes for lots of fun windtunnels too. I find myself involuntarily gasping "come on!" in complete disbelief after the wind take my breath away for a second.
But the wind wasn't so bad today since it seems warmer so it didn't pistol whip my face. Which saves on exfoliating facial scrubs I guess...

I got that both ways. Biking down 6th street I would be propelled along one minute and then slammed in the face the next.
7th street was pretty bad because of all the cracks in the ground. I'd be biking along and instead of dodging around a pothole I'd clip the edge.
