I had, "fag," "girl," and "Nice helmet, asshole" yelled a total of six times in the five blocks from 35 to 15th last night. Fuck Dinkytown and all those pieces of shit outside Blarney's and Mesa. They can fucking die.

I think I'm going to take up GRocky's suggestion. It would take care of the five idiots that would not move from the center of the bike lane going the wrong way. Ans since I like my bike I was the one who had to jump the curb.
Adding to the scooter hate: a couple of years I got completely fucked by two scooter drivers at 5:50 in the morning on the Transit Way trail. One cut it too close and scared the shit out of me and then his buddy clipped me with his duffel bag and I ended up slamming against the fence with my hand working with the chain links as a decellerant. Nothing says college radio like a bleeding hand at the controls.

Why? because i think its funny. just like i think its funny to yell 'hey you in the messenger bag' at any biker function, or tease people for their tiny wheeled bmx kids bikes. come to think of it, i might as well start yelling 'where the fuck are all the mountains?' to all the mountain bikers i see out there, or 'where is your other fucking wheel' at unicyclists.
(the last one applies to those riding wheelies with their front wheel off too)

If I happen to be out in my jersey and shorts for a 70 mile ride and some asshole yells something at me, he's just an asshole prick with no respect, regardless if he rides a bike otherwise.
