Cycles for Change, The Hub, and that other place on Selby apparently have more business than they can handle or they have no business sense about them. At the very least my money is no good to any of them to cut a deal for one on one training on the repair and complete tune up of my bike.
All those trainers and employees must be swimming in cash in the shade of a money tree forest......or they are being run by incompetent managers (you know what I think).
When you turn to places like this, you would think they know just the person to set you up with. Its sad and its stupid.

I MADE GOOD OFFERS THAT ACCOUNTED FOR THE FACT THAT I WAS ASKING FOR SOMETHING CUSTOMIZED. THERE WERE NO COUNTER OFFERS AND VERY LITTLE INTEREST.

Maybe try them in the winter time when they are not as busy.

If you approached them with the same kind of attitude you show here I would be repulsed as well.
Go to open shop night. That's where you learn.
You really sound like one of those people who thinks they can buy anything and anyone with their money, and that it's only money that matters. I'm a volunteer bike wrench and I fix a lot of bikes for free. You couldn't pay me enough to teach you what little I know.
