We are currently in the process of moving MPLS Bike Love to a new server, and last night we had a hiccup with the database. The bummer is that we lost all new posts and changes to user profiles between approximately midnight last night and 8am this morning.

The upshot is that we'll be on a new machine that will segregate MBL from our other production sites, improve response time, and hopefully keep the site from going down when we're under high load from spammers and spiders.

Our apologies to those of you who may have posted in the wee hours!

I was wondering what happened!!!

You had me thinking "did I even post what I thought I did?"

Hiccups happen with those sorts of moves. Thanks for the explanation, since I was wondering if the post I made was removed or I didn't complete the post in the first place.

I thought the same thing. "Did I really not hit submit on all those posts? But I know my post count was higher when I logged off!"

Another hiccup: while trying to improve performance (you may notice that the site 'feels' much faster), we inadvertently borked RSS feeds and a table from the database than handles some configuration data.

Obviously, the site itself is back up, but RSS feeds from forums are still down, hopefully I'll get that up here in the next few minutes.
