It's that time of year again. Time to start thinking about sending in your postcard registration for one of the two greatest gravel road cycling events this side of anywhere. There is info on the new Almanzo site and updates coming regularly so check back often. Holler.

really excited for it this year. thanks for all the hard work you put into it. its amazing that its free. my friend just signed up for the Tough Mudder obsacle course race and paid $150 to do it. really puts that entry free into perspective.
this year ill have to send in a better postcard. mine are always super lame.

Can't wait! What a great event, first time last year (and completed!) and I'm hooked. Can't hang with the big boys, but awesome that Chris let those of who want to do something do it! Postcard and donation will be in the mail soon!!!

Post card is locked and loaded. Many thanks to Chris for not only putting on the event, but for putting a classy personal touch on every aspect of this epic day. An impressive legacy he is leaving.

Maybe a 50-75 mile group ride every two weeks or so until we forget about "training"? also, matthew. I apologize for calling you matt on the phone. I was out of it. And - make that tomorrah for the check (:

Noob question: I remember reading somewhere about a creek crossing or two on the route. What kind of creeks are we talking here? Something I can ride across? Will I need to shoulder the bike and wade knee deep? Just want to get some idea so I can be prepared enough to not have to ride 100 miles with a pint of water in each shoe. Anyone know?

Last year some people were removing shoes and socks to wade through, while others just rode through, as they were already soaked from the rain. With the lack of melting snow this year, it should be quite low.
That's all speculation though. idk.
