That thing's gorgeous. Did you have to spread the rear end (hehe)?

Oops, yeah, I forgot to mention. As I was spreading the rear triangle from 125-ish mm to 130 mm, I popped the seat stay bridge/rear brake thinger. Eric of Peacock Groove was nice enough re-braze it (and straighten my frame) for a perfectly reasonable price and six pack of beer for good measure.

Joy-road it last night. Much stiffen BB-region (and lighter) than my 1981 Trek 531......

Lugged steel is the shizNITE. Love your blend of old-school kickass steel with modern parts.

I like it, but clamping the seat tube when there's that much seatpost? Incorrect.

The seat post is designed to be clamped (binder bolt, seat collar, etc) but the seat tube is not and can be damaged if clamped too hard or if the frame is torqued on too hard when the seat tube is clamped.

stiI still dont get what the problem is - its being used the only way it can be... unless its an undersized seatpost?
Is Zebra saying too much post bc its too small a frame? Now THAT is incorrect. That thing is preeeety beeeeeg.

He's saying the repair stand should be clamped to the seat post, not the seat tube.
