http://www.colnago.com/c59-disc/I had lunch with Dann today and we discussed hydraulic disc brakes used with integrated road levers. Looks like this baby uses Formula levers, which are compatible with Di2, as well as traditional mech. Crazy.

Since I love deconstructing ad copy, here's my revised version. Quote: Welcome to a different era of high performance road bike braking, the Colnago C59 Disc.
We have taken an expensive step towards the future of road bike [d]evolution with the introduction of the C59 Disc. Featuring [] hydraulic front and rear disc brakes it is set to change braking performance in the Colnago road bike line. The frame and fork are [] compatible with standard PM calipers, too.
With two(!) 140mm diameter discs the frame and fork have also been redesigned in the key areas where the brakes are mounted because otherwise, you know, calipers would just sort of dangle there and maybe get caught in the spokes. The fork is completely new, whilst at the rear of the main frame the chainstays and the seatstays are also new, because our scientists said we had to make new ones.. The C59 Disc is compatible with both electronic and mechanical groupsets. This whole paragraph is really only useful for your shop tech.
Along with the main frame changes, we have also designed our own matching wheels, the Artemis Disc. These wheels feature disc-specific hubs and [] carbon composite [] rims.
Now, no matter the weather, you can have the most powerful and controllable brakes available on a $7000 road bicycle that you willingly ride in the wet. Because you are mechanically inclined, the system is easy to service, should it ever need servicing – as the system is kinda closed and there are no cables to replace or wear out. Cables are such a drag, no? The regular maintenance will only consist of checking the brake pads for wear, and replacing them when needed – which is a simple five minute job.

Shimano has new cx dick breaks that are supposedly ultegra level. Meanwhile, sram has red hydraulic road levers coming out this year. Get with it, shimano.

Agreed, however, the 90's XTR linear pull linkage V-brakes are pretty fracking strong... if you can put up with the inevitable squealing and keep your rims true...
