Just thought people may be interested for a good winter out-shell. It is only two of the colors, the other two are still about 90 bucks. Kaplan's have these for around 60 bucks IIRC.

Let us know how it works. Does it have pit zips at all? How thick of softshell fabric is it? My Marmot is WAY too hot 1/2 the time.

Oh, and FYI there is no sales tax on clothes in MN, so the price difference wouldn't likely be that much.

I forgot about the no tax on cloths.

I am pretty impressed with the shell so-far. It is allegedly "breathable" and there are not any pit-zips. I used it outside playing in the snow today with my 3.5 year-old, dragging him up and down the sledding hill. I am thinking that this will be nice for REALLY cold riding.

I will probably use it more for other spring/fall activities than biking, but I needed a soft-shell, as my other one is about dead, and the price was right.

I also like the hood a LOT.
