I've need help with a riddle of sorts and I'm told the answer is chemistry related.
What does "fem8s" mean or represent? Femates? Iron-something? If it helps at all, the riddle comes from a chiropractor.
If you help me solve this I will reward you with some kind of image or animated GIF. Perhaps if the opportunity arises I will provide you with a cold beer.

Where did you find this thing? Was this on a pill or something? A license plate?
Right now, I'd guess it has something to do with the numbers 4, 15, 16, 23 and 42

It's part of a client's password. He said, "see if you can figure out what it means- it helps if you know chemistry". It's an informal challenge and stumped my Google-fu.

Well, fe is the symbol for iron. M isn't the symbol for anything, so I'd say it's "iron-mates".

Is he a triathalon dude? I found some results for that. More interesting, apparently it is type of checkmate from a type of chess I don't recognize. Does he play Chinese Chess, by any chance? http://www.xqinenglish.com/bkironboltcheckmate.html

Snak Shak wrote: "iron-mates". Maybe he did some hard time and was fond of his cell mate? Sorry, probably not helpful. This is my best guess http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ThermiteThis fellow wouldn't happen to be an electrician or work with that sort of thing would he?

Thanks for all the help. The solution is less technical than I thought it might be- it is "iron mates". The meaning of "iron mates", I guessed had something to do with a triathlon. I was correct there- he and his wife do triathlons together. Snak Shak, here is your prize:

if it came from a chiropractor it probably has nothing to do with science, or even reality for that matter.
