Leaving for work this morning I stepped onto my pedal and thought I was clipped in. I wasn't. I think I did most of a crank revolution, then my foot slipped off the pedal and I caught my ankle on the pedal on the upstroke. Not sure how many stitches I have now (I'll count when clean the wound later). Its recommended that I not bike for two weeks while this heals. Boooo. Pics: Right after riding home:   In the urgent care waiting room:   Post-cleaning:   Perhaps this is my penance for starting to wear clipless sandals again yesterday (ha). If I'd have socks and shoes on, this would've been much less bad.

haha, Low.
I biked in to work for the first time since last Tuesday. I probably could've started earlier; walking is much more uncomfortable than biking, it seems.
I just noticed that there's still blood on my sandals, too. Classy.

I have the exactly the same model candies and I just felt my pedal this morning after reading this thread... yea, my pedal strikes have made it into a nice sharp edge. I'm scared now.

Got the stitches out. The nurse was a little miffed when I told her that I started biking after a week, but then I explained that it was a lot better than walking to the bus.
Yep, that's a big scab. heh.
