I would like to join you and maybe even Mrs. Yam would like to also. She's in two book clubs already, but she's a voracious reader and it would be a nice distraction from the others.

I'd vote for Adrien's instead. Pepito's is usually really loud. But Toen hall above all.

I vote yes to this, but I also vote for Adrien's instead of Pepito's. I may be the only one in the city, but I have to say that I really don't like Pepito's. The food isn't good at all.

There, I said it.

Okay then. Plan A is still the Town Hall Tap if they can it in gear and be open in time. Plan B will be Adrian's. I'll watch Town Hall and post back if they open between now and our December meet-up.

There is this fondness for the place that I can't understand. Perhaps that it was a Mexican restaurant before the great boom and it was a rarity back in the day (the others were Chi-Chi's [oh, gross] and Esteban's). But now, there are Mexicans making Mexican food in Mexican restaurants, I'm quite happy because I do love me comida mexicana somthin' fierce.

And the sad, cheddar-covered glop is nothing but a bad, but distant, memory.

I worked at Esteban's in high school, which may explain why I like Pepito's.

I've also requested The Gift of Fear from my inferior library, which has no copies currently available. Not that I'm committing to Book Club. Apparently I'm not committing to anything today.

I am about 1/4 of the way through the book so far. The author certainly has some interesting points and I am enjoying the book although I do disagree with what he has to say about firearms though.

You can use Inter-Library Loan to get such items if you choose. It is a bit more work but in about a week you can get the item that you like and not have to wait for the first copy to arrive.

I hope to read this book and join you all. I am a voracious reader, but am currently in school full time and working full time and going crazy so can't commit to anything.

I could loan you my copy, Velocipete. I am about 25% complete on it and will probably finish by Sunday or so.
