I ride my breakless lo-pro around with cotton/latex 18c track tubulars at 15 bar all winter long. Seriously, they are bikes. Might as well ask why anyone rides: A: Fixed gear on the street B: No breaks C: Mountain bikes on the street D: Time trial bikes on the street E: Road bikes for anything >50 miles D: Carbon anything if they aren't a pro F: etc. People can ride whatever they want, and why should we care as long as they don't make us ride it.

I used to have a disco ball. It wasn't as great as you may think. Honestly, if I was forced to choose, I'd rather have a Pugsley.

I'd like to think I am fast, yet 2F4L has no problem keeping up with me on his 29er with half inflated tires. Omgmrj and Zebrakeys fly on their mountain bikes and Pugsely. Takumar bombed Ramsey Hill on the heaviest most makeshift BMX I've ever seen. I ride an all-steel bike and so did a lot of people before there were chromoly and carbon fiber bikes. I only give more credit to the people who own the fuck out of their unnecessary rides. Because at the end of the day, it's not your gear or your three thousand dollar bicycle--it's your motherfucking quadriceps, suckas.
