Two things:
1. Thank you to all of the women emailing their ideas and offering to come to our meeting! We really want to get to know you and hear you out, so if you're free Tuesday at 7, come to the Bedlam and hang out with us.

I'm volunteering this Saturday at EXCO's Winter Carnival.
Quote:
Saturday, February 13, 2010, 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Aldine Park
1717 Iglehart Ave.
Saint Paul, MN

Let's celebrate the Minnesota winter for all its worth! Spend an afternoon outside playing in the snow and drinking hot chocolate! Also, learn about EXCO's spring classes!

The Experimental College of the Twin Cities will be kicking off its Spring 2010 session in winter-y style, Saturday February 13th from 1-4pm at Aldine Park (1717 Iglehart Ave.) in St. Paul. The "Winter Carnival" will feature "fancy" hot drinks, urban winter survival skills, hockey lessons and games, food, arts and crafts, a medallion hunt, and the chance to learn about EXCO's spring classes! Bring old winter clothing to participate in the clothes swap. Near 21, 84, 16, 94 bus lines. All are welcome!

Does anyone want to share winter biking skills? Hand out Grease Rag flyers? Drink hot chocolate and keep me company? Come on down. It's a good way to get involved this Saturday.

-Low

Sorry, I do not know about the ped bridge... the winter carnival was a good time! Thanks to Ted W. and TheEndofPangaea for joining me!

Grease Rag is having two events this week. Tuesday is the brainstorming meeting, and Thursday is open shop.

Hope to see you!

Oh glorious day. It is so beautiful outside! No excuses for not getting out and riding! (Unless you are chained to a desk like I am...) I'll be there tonight. I will be leaving a little early (830?) to celebrate Bruzo's birthday- she has kindly extended the invitation to all the Grease Rag folks! The shop will still be open until 9, so please stop in, even if you aren't going to the GR afterparty. =]

See you tonight!

There was a great turn out yesterday. I gave my winter bike the most thorough cleaning he has gotten this winter and installed a rear brake.

P.S. I can't wait until we get shop smocks. With the GR logo, of course. ;]

+1

and since there are no crash reports, I am assuming that the wheel I learned my tuing skills on is indeed still true!

What does the GR logo look like? I have a very special  smock planned for a certain someone who is concerned about her pants!

Haha, no crash reports!! You did an excellent job even with my half-assed instruction.

We do not have a logo... yet. It is in the works. I am sorry I haven't been around much the past few days, but Grease Rag updates will be coming up soon!!

See you soon!

FWIW - your instruction was far better than the instruction I paid for at a local bike shop. Kudos to Jamie from Sunrise for the patient and understanding teaching a true dyslexic needs.

Should the thread title be 3/4/2010 now?
