Nah, you clamp that over the end of a bowden cable and stick the aerosol nozzle in the little hole to lube your cables.

Edit:
Here's a good site about it:

In addition to brakes, this thing makes d?railleur adjustment so much easier!

It's also the bomb for tightening zip ties.

New favorite: the Bikesmith Crank Cotter Press

It does the otherwise impossible: makes working on cottered cranks a pleasure. I, and my formerly bone-dry Raleigh bottom bracket bearings salute you, Bikesmith!

The ProLink Chain Gauge. No moving parts, but gives more info than straight up Go-NoGo gauges.

Recently I've really started to love this,

It's a $1.49 spray bottle from The Wedge that I filled with kerosene as a kerosene-saving alternative to rag-spashing.

at the shop my favorite tool is the 4' bolt cutters. nothing better for clipping old, rusty, nasty chains.

The nipple driver. Because with a name like that, it could also be a metal band or sex toy.

On that note, this would probably be my favorite tool/bottle opener. Much more effective than the Surly (or the old one, anyway):

From Paragon Machine Works.

The Park TM-1 spoke tension meter makes wheelbuilding much quicker and easier and it's waaay cheaper than most other alternatives, like the DT one.
