I think we will ride into the teeth of the wind for as long as we can, then ride it back when the Greenway starts to thin out in the evening (for anyone who wishes to join the ride).

^^ That was a fantastic ride, if we forget the traffic on the way back. What a workout against the wind!

So, still up for pulling the kayaks down to Cedar, 2fast? There are 3 seats, so if anyone else is interested in a multi-modal amphibious workout of the legs, speak up. I am thinking of heading down the trail at around 3pm, which would put us on the South beach of Cedar lake a little before 4pm.

Alright, then should we plan on a ride tomorrow at 5:00? I'm a free agent and I want to go for a fast ride.
We can meet at Brackett park, like I think this ride usually does, or we can meet anywhere that works for you, Dann.
I'll give Ted a call tomorrow if he hasn't replied to this thread yet. 2Fast, are you going to make it this week?

I want to go for a ride, but I also want to ride with my 22-year-old son, who I don't think can keep with the typical pace of this ride. If you can take it down a notch we'd be interested; otherwise we might just pull the kayaks down to Cedar lake (an adventure in which others are welcome join). We had planned to get together around 4.

I'm flexible. I was hoping for a fast ride but I'm planning on doing the Cheap Imitation Thursday Night Hustle tomorrow night so maybe a more reasonable pace would be a good thing today. On the other hand, Ted, if you just want a father-son afternoon, I totally understand. If people still want to do a fast ride, we could meet at Brackett at 5:00 and either take the North Cedar Trail out to Hopkins and the Greenway back, which would have the added bonus of swinging by Cedar to see if Ted's on the kayaks, or if we wanted more of a tour, I've plotted out a 26 mile route from Brackett up around the fort etc. It's mostly trail with some fun road riding as well, including a jaunt down Post Road next to the airport that is always, um, interesting. We could shorten this to around 20 miles by skipping the swing around Lake Nokomis at the end. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3048029

I'm eyeing this thread, but I'll have to pass this week. I don't know what's going on, but I still hurt pretty bad. I've done a few rides, but it hurts like hell to ride fast with the breathing and all. Rib injuries suck. Maybe next week. Have fun everybody.

Alright, unless I hear otherwise in this thread, I plan on being at Brackett at 5:00. If you're coming, meet me by the entrance to the ramp to the Greenway. I'll roll at 5:15 at the latest.
(Edit: Hey I just noticed I'm not a "Noob" anymore.)

I rode last night and got some scrapes, so I'm OK with toning down the pace a notch today.
