You should consider taking it to a shop to get it safety checked at least. That rear brake cable looks like it was installed by Re-Cycle.
$.02 from what I hear Re-Cycle is under new management and has much higher standards But still put at least a front brake back on. True pros can do bar spins with brakes

True pros can do bar spins with brakes I don't think Sheldon Brown did too many bar spins, but he could have on that bike with a front brake. And he was definitely pro. *edit: Picture didn't work, see bike here- http://sheldonbrown.org/iro/pages/iro-boing1.html

At least it's another person on a bike.

Getting bikes sold through Urban Outfitters is no small feat, plus it means more bikes on the road, or at least more bikes being schluffed down the sidewalk.

I used to really like Urban Outfitters. But starting about a year ago, I would become more and more disappointed every time I went there. I'm normally willing to thrown down for a higher-priced, unique item as long as the quality is on par for the price. But as both me and my ex agreed, a lot of their stuff just falls apart. So I suppose the Aristotle is fairly on track for Urban, even though it's relatively low priced for a complete bicycle. Still, one of the cooler mainstream stores.

It's not owned by someone else, it's under new management and it sounds like they are trying make up for their bad service. A good friend of mine works there in the summer and says that in order to make up for it they've up their standards to much more than a lot of bike shops. Every thing is checked by two people.
Example: he told me for every truing they do, even minor. The remove the wheel, tire and tube. And tru it from there. I have not seen many shops that do this for every wheel.
I'm not saying that they don't deserve their bad rep. In fact my friend isn't even saying they don't deserve their rep. Merely that they are trying to make up for it with better than normal service.
But let's keep the topic on these Designer bicycles made out of shit for parts pieces
