this sounds like so much fun. too bad I can't see shit in the dark and would most likely crash even with a light and I'd need to find a babysitter.
have fun

Thanks to the guys (and gal) for such an awesome night of riding. This was my first group night ride and it was totally rad! Everyone was welcoming and friendly. I hope others join us next week for more awesomeness!

Ride 8! Another ride and still growing. 13 people total most of them new faces. went down minihaha bike trail from lake calhune to the falls an awesome dark ride (luckily everyone had lights this time) it was neat to see 13 blinking red lights bounce down a dark trail. after a quick break at the falls we dropped down to ten. We then took the river road and this is where Night Riders for the first time split in two. One group continued on into downtown while the remaining 6 went down the greenway and got some cafferies. there was talk of stopping at a local eatery or bar at the end of every ride what do you guys think? sadly Alex only got to ride for a tiny bit so he has now broken his crash streak but there is always next week. Until then keep the rubber side down and see you next tuesday. now to add to the... CASUALTY TALLY: Falls: VI Alex: IV Jake: I Elliot:I Parts: Total Fucking Mess: I (Alex: I) Tubes: III (Josh: II Alex: I) Rims: I (Jake: I) Pumps: I (Mike: I) BOOZE:(in bottles [excluding beer I can't count that high also excludes anything consumed at a bar]) Rum: II Whisky: II Wine: i Vodka: I Gin: I

sorry for the delay last night. Im looking at that rim...and the tire...and i still cant make any sense out of the whole damn thing! hope the ride was good, see ya'll next week!
**edit: on further inspection it was the tire, there was a chunk of bead material missing! The rim was fine the all along. Thanks again for all the help last night, and thank god for those bike messengers and all their tools!

Ride9! Last night was a great ride. Probably the most fun I have had on night riders to date. Cinco De Mayo is a pretty great holiday to fall on a Tuesday Alex and I mixed up some wicked margaritas pre ride and others had similar ideas in mind, needless to say most of us were pretty intoxicated on this ride. A few new faces a lot of familiar ones which is really cool we like to see people ride in night riders but we really like to see people keep riding with us. This week was again our biggest ride we're up to 16 riders now. we took our favorite trail kentwood (what I have been miscalling ceder lake trail) down and through downtown and across the river to the east bank rode around there for a bit then back to the greenway from franklin and back to uptown. Alex held up his title as crashmaster with a vengence taking 3 falls the last of which was a pretty bad one and I hope he is ok. This is really starting to feel like a group and not just a bunch of people riding at night. Untill next time See you next tuesday and keep the rubber side down!

By putting the seat up way too high and leaving the lever out just a tish. It's not very bad at all, probably be gone in a couple days.

AberrantMonk wrote: So Alex is currently at the hospital with a possible broken sholder so leave him nice messages Sorry to be lame, and while I intend to come to a few more night rides and enjoy a few beers during them, my advice is to take it easy on the amount of alcohol that you're drinking before/during riding. The number of crashes is a little scary. Best wishes to Alex for a speedy recovery.
