This area of the forum needs more action. here I am Saturday. This was a good header while wearing sunglasses. Broke my helmet, and luckily nothing more. 3 cuts around the eye with good rash on the brow, cheek, ear and back of my shoulder. I was doing some dirt riding and went over the bars.

They were sunglasses with the lenses only supported from the top side. No bottom to the frame.
The lens it had chunks of skin on it and some heavy scratches from the dirt.

The lens it had chunks of skin on it and some heavy scratches from the dirt. just wondering if they were metal or plastic frames since I've been told it's a bad idea to bike with metal frames as they can cause serious damage in crashes.

I had plastic frames of some kind.
I could certainly see where metal would cause more damage.
The bow came off my frames and was laying beside me. I think if metal they would have stayed together and likely stuck to my face longer, causing more damage before falling off.
Somehow the frames didnt break though...it just pulled out the screw, which went right back together when i was done. just the lens thats toast.
