She's looking for a geared road bike for fitness and fun.
Looking to pay between $500-$1,000, depending on deal. Thanks! Dan Check Maple Grove Cycle, they are a Trek Dealer and have some really great close outs on the '08 WSD bikes. Most are smaller sizes, I bought an '08 EX8 WSD for about 40% off.

I should probably read older posts...but I cant find my mittens from last year. Anybody know of a place that sells them on the cheap? I'm getting tired of my fingered gloves.

Kurohata, probably Kaplan Bros would be a good place to start. Lake and 15th (?)
Since most of my life possessions remain in a storage vault in Michigan, I am looking to buy some used board games and puzzles, with all the bits and pieces (which is why I am reluctant to buy them at Savers for example) - stuff like Scrabble, uh...trivia games, word games, whatever.
I want to have some games to play when people come over.

I'm getting tired of my fingered gloves. near the bottom of thisthread in seasonal discussion there's some discussion of gloves. i have a few pairs of cheaper choppers, and second hand mittens. but for for some awesome mitts that will work well for a long time im down with these. theyve been the sauce for over 2 winters now. i almost sure midwestM carries OR gear, im sure theyd have them there for a similar price.

Wanting to buy a girls single... for the girlfriend. this is my attempt at seeing if she would be into biking, so I dont want to spend over $150, in case she doesnt like it. She is only like 100LBS and 5ft. Also looking for least amount of parts as possible, so single speed would be good, no gearing...but I can always take that stuff off if it looks like a good deal. Hit me up if you got ideas, I am going here first as individuals can always use money a bit more than a store can.

I want to try out rollers this winter. I don't need anything super fancy, but I'd rather look here first than buying new. Anyone have an old set they'd be willing to let go for around 100? I'm pretty flexible on what I'm willing to spend, I just want to ride my fast bike while there is snow on the ground haha. Thanks.

Does anyone have, and are willing to part with:
a 9-speed brake/shift lever in good condition that they are willing to part with?
and/or
a 700c rear wheel with a 8/9/10 speed compatible hub?
thanks

WTB: 700c front wheel for a winter beater. Something that could stand up to some abuse from a big guy like moi.

I'm looking for a good touring wheelset - 700c, 8spd shimano freehub. I have about $200-300 to spend.

Starting to piece together parts for the next bike build/frame "adjustment" project and looking to make effectivly a 1x1 with wide rims.
I'm looking for a set of Wide rims, not Large Marge wide but down hill wide. I'll be going single speed with this, if you have a single speed down hill wheel set that would be great, but I would also consider a multi-speed rear hub, and I could convert to single speed. Disk or Rim brake, both would be great! If you have a some big tires sitting around that would be great too. Let me know what you have at this point I'm pretty flexible.
Also if anyone has a used 1x1 fork sitting around I would also be interested in that too.

Whoops, meant to send as PM. bobbyd wrote: Scrap Steel- Just a few Pieces - could be an old nasty/bent frame you have lying around, or an old metal futon frame.
Need it for Saturday. Going to start the cargo bike project with my buddy.

They're used but in great shape, and have been sitting there for about a year so you might be able to get them to come down on the price a bit.

Whoops, was looking for a right shifter for a buddy, picked it up, turns out he had busted his left one, so I am looking for:
Left 3 speed - 105 or similar shimano brake/shift lever compatible with a 9 speed triple. Scratches are fine, but it needs to have some life left in it. Someone has to have one of these floating around after a singlespeed conversion or a busted right shifter.
thanks to the heads up on the wheel, I will be checking that out.
