Wow, that bike is an amazing memorial. This may be a little strange to ask, but who put what must've been a lot of time into the bike?

Yesterday I visited the ghost bike and met a fellow taking care of the shrine who said he was Jimmy's best friend. He was -- obviously -- sad, but not angry. He said he could understand how an accident could happen but he could not understand why the driver didn't stop, didn't get help.
I don't understand it either. |

i'm living about two blocks away from where he was killed, everyday i bike by his ghost bike.
i saw him walking/biking from time to time as i was growing up. it just makes me sad to think how he went, and that the guy hit and ran. |

Bump.
Please continue to keep your eyes out. I'm told there have been very, very few tips at all. Late 90s Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Ram truck, tan in color with front-end damage. It shouldn't be this hard. I'm keeping hope alive on this one. |
