so, just as my hand is starting to heal, I'm riding like normal again, looking forward to the crisper days.....it all started with a house party and ended at Urgent care.

was at a basement show last friday, celebrating someones birthday, people started dancing, and i started getting jostled. I'd been drinking, but I remember thinking, that hurt. after the show, we were standing around outside, waiting to get on the bikes and head out, when I noticed my ankle was cold/wet and hurt. I looked down to see my pulse, as blood pumped out of my ankle. wrapped it up in a napkin with a hair tie, convinced everyone I was fine and that I'd just been to the ER a couple months ago and knew what warranted such a trip and certainly not this. rode my bike home. got the first aid out, cleaned it up, fell asleep. next day couldn't walk, realized i could see muscle and tendon, so went and got me 10 stiches... so i'm biking fairly slow these days, at least I will have another sweet scar

it hurt, just not super bad. I just didn't realize how bad it was at the time. My girlfriend and I actually had a fairly heated argument in the bathroom as I was pouring rubbing alcohol on this and bandaging it up about whether I should go to the ER or not, if we could see muscle or not, blah. I won...but then I lost the next day when I realized she was right.

would have been easier to lose the first night.

You had a cut like that and you wouldn't go to the emergency room?

You have insurance. There are starving people in china who would love to have insurance.

Stop hurting yourself.

oh the apparent woes of alcohol and injuries! When will you kids learn!

But seriously, it's a good thing you didn't go to sleep and wake up to find it couldn't be fixed.

yish. My girl went into the kitchen in the dark last week to feed the cat and knocked over a pint glass which smashed on the counter and then rolled off and fell on her bare foot where it made a nice deep gash leaving her with 4 stiches on her toe. Doesn't look half as bad as that though. The best part was hearing her "uh-oh" from the bedroom and then her telling me it was fine and to go back to bed.
