Post them if you've got them.

I'll start with this:

A stop where you roll a die and have to wait that many minutes before your next 'run.' After all, it doesn't matter how fast of a courier you are if you don't have anything to deliver, right?

Thanks to whoever suggested this at NACCC.

I personally like the idea of having to look for an object or something in an area to make that "variable" of time at stops. Not being forced for $x amount of time for no reason. We need reasons to NOT bike!!!

Being forced to stop for no reason other than luck is kind of the point.

Otherwise, you could do like 10 min each for everyone, but I think random ads a bit more to it, and levels the field a little.

AlleyCat stops:

1) Have to get a transfer ticket from a 21a Metro Transit bus. Any bus, anywhere along it's route, wait or chase one down.

2) Two part stop: make participants navigate a portion of the skyway between the stops (like from the front of Fame over to the state fair at Gavadae), and then figure out how to exit the skyway and get back to wherever their bikes are.

How about a round of "quarters"? You know, have them bounce a quarter into a glass? You get it on the first try, you move on....maybe up to 5 tries?

Maybe a stop where there's a cork dartboard, and the participants have 5 darts to throw and three have to hit the board before they can go. Also, there is a dog tied up right next to the dart board. Also, some of the participants are drunk. Oh, wait they already did that at gnome fest.

they were supposed to make you get 40 points on the dartboard in three throws, or back to the end of the line you go. i think that the french chick at that stop didn't quite understand the rules, or maybe they had to change them on the fly cause ya'll suck at darts. i dunno, i was busy at my stop making people drink my pbr-blackberry brandy spritzers.

i did like the idea of kiecker's stop tho. he had jenga and the blocks had plus and minus minutes on them.

Put a bunch of numbers on a front bicycle wheel
Have it as a quick release on a bike
Make participants take the wheel off the bike,
throw it on a truing stand (or an equivalent)
Engage the selector/clicky thing
spin it
whatever number it has is how long they have to wait.

You also could have a whole bunch of random tasks on it too.
-Drink this beer
-Go put your bike in a tree
-Ride in the smallest circle you can 10 times...quickly
-etc

How about the ol' cop trick to say the alphabet backwards and the person can't advance until they get it 100% right.

Or

have the person bust out some dance moves in a certain order, ex. "the running man" or to moonwalk or something.

Probably dumb ideas but it makes me smile to think about people doing them at stops.

That stop should have smiley and frowney face stickers for the manifest. In the event of a tie, the person who made the volunteers laugh would take the win!

I don't know how i feel about stops that involve judging. i mean, it was fun to draw Yoda & all, but does there have to be a "best" one? cause Pete got fuckin robbed. really doe.

Find me another hot French chick and I'll let you in front of the line for beer, booze, or boobs! How about some safety this time folks?
