Cook for a couple of minutes and add a half pint of cream - bring to boil and cut heat off.
Cook about 1/2lb linguine in salted boiling water (al dente), drain and add to above in pan - toss well until pasta is coated. Cover pan and let sit for 5 minutes. grate a bunch of good parmesan cheese over it and serve with good bread and a nice white bordeaux. You will have fuel for a very nice ride This inspired me and I made a version of this last night. YUMMERS. I bike because it's fun, I exercise enough where I can eat whatever I want and drink carbolicious beer, and I lived a more solitary life before my bike life. When I don't want to get on my bike, sometimes I just don't. Rest is good! But when I need motivating, I think of the difficult rides I've done (that stupid Afton-Hudson ride where I didn't eat enough and started hallucinating after the first few miles, the winter-pocalypse Sober Ride where we had 3 people drop out and multiple flats, epic winter Cranksgiving, Pizza Farm Death March Double Century, 4 day bike camping trip with 110 heat index, etc.) and remind myself that attitude and mindset are always a major part of overcoming the wall/ bonk. And that in the end, I never remember the pain and cramps and near hypothermia, I always remember the party, the friends, the triumph, and the FUN. I try to eat real food as much as possible, which means I cook a lot. My favorite fuel is a big bowl of oat groats or steel cut oats, handful nuts, dried fruit, and a heaping tablespoon of brown sugar or honey. This sticks to your ribs and stays with you. I try to remember to drink a big glass of water with my meal, but sometimes I'm in a hurry and I forget. This thread is inspiring me to write more about what I eat on greaserag.org. The blog needs more recipes! What a great prompt, newyorkjon.

Do what cha like - like what cha do -
We are here once and we get to do what inspires us - eat well, live well, bike as much as you like
In short, live as best you can, take care of those around you, love those you can, and hope to make a positive impact on whatever you can.
Food is what we put in us to allow what can be done - eat well. We do need a recipe forum

Second part, what gives you motivation or desire to go out there every day of the year, and do your thing. PART I: I pretty much live off of tortillas too. When I discovered there was the family 30 pack of big ones at the Nicollet Cub I actually thought there might be a God. When I was trying to put on more weight (gained 15 lbs. this year booyah!) I went through a LOT of peanut butter. Will definitely be adding more red meat to my diet this year since my hunting party got three deer this year which I'm getting a share of. I think it'll take my tract awhile to adjust to that since I otherwise never eat beef, pork, etc. PART II: Cycling is a great way to start off the day with a rebellion and has greatly helped frame my perspective on lots of things. Commuting by bike is one of those things that seems unrealistic until you do it. It's like a rolling example to remind me to take the time to think differently about the world around me. Also, for OMGMRJ: Satan is my motor

I won't share my physical fuel, it's horrible. (lots of beer, fat, salt, etc) Some years ago, I got a series originally aired on Universal Sports (I got it from a torrent site I'm no longer active on) called Take a Seat: Sharing a Ride Across America. Premise is, rider picks up disabled passengers for different legs of a ride across America. One of those riders is my fuel; http://shelby.tv/video/vimeo/22347841/promo-take-a-seat-sharing-a-ride-across-america-kelly-laneTo this day, I still choke up at "Don't stop pedaling. Never stop pedaling." Some day, all of us will have to leave our beloved bikes behind. Some of us will live past that day, some of us won't. If I'm one of those who does live past that day, I don't want to leave any rides left undone.
