WOTF: To myself for being lazy and not replacing my chainring and chain this weekend...I payed for it today as I had to walk my bike up a couple hills b/c the teeth are so worn down that the chainring just slips thru the chain. Hopefully I can nurse it home and get it all fixed today. Or else it's the bus on the way home for me

Someone told me that because I ride a bike in the winter, I'm either crazy or have a thirst for danger. I said "why can't i be both?" I thought the statement was kind of redundant.

I had a store owner say as I left her shop (your brave to be ridding in this weather!) my reply was "Is that what they call it now days?" we had a good laugh.

Mixed TOTH/WOTF: to the city of Minneapolis. Thanks for declaring a snow emergency and making an attempt to clear the roads. but you'll surely leave side roads unplowed, leave shoulders and bike lanes with even larger snow piles, and ignore sidewalks. Urgh.

TOTH to the middle aged lady in the passenger seat who screamed hysterically "You freak!" at me on University. It was an exhausting ride home but you had me laughing the rest of the way home.

I actually had some douchebag in a rusty old 4-door impala holler "Get a car" at me yesterday... right before he slid out of control and into a snowbank from which he was unable to extricate himself while I stood by for like 10 minutes and offered helpful comments.

TOTH to my neighbor Donn who helped me shovel.

WOTF to my neighbor who lets her dog roam the neighborhood freely. Several polite requests to keep her dog in her yard have been ignored, and the damn thing walked up and took a crap on the sidewalk right in front of me while I was shoveling earlier this evening. Somehow the dog crap ended up on the offending neighbor's windshield. I have no idea how it happened. It's not like I had a shovel handy or anything.

WOTF to the st.thomas kids who tried to run me off the road while shouting death threats at me saturday night while biking down cleveland ave. I was too distracted by rage to get a license plate number.
