I like what you did with the bars. The bike looks awesome!
What's your current gearing and/or have you ridden a cross race on it yet?

hey it wasn't me that did the taping. i did bandit cross last night on it and it was super fun. im pretty sure it's a 34/17 and i think i need to bump it up a notch.

I meant going from flat to drop. newyorkjon wrote: hey it wasn't me that did the taping. i did bandit cross last night on it and it was super fun. im pretty sure it's a 34/17 and i think i need to bump it up a notch. Nice. Good place to debut your new ride! Man I love single speed 'cross bikes. I'm too wussy to try it, but it seems like it'd be a fun way to race. Probably a lot like ss mtbing: gotta keep the gearing low enough for the hills and gotta learn how to spin like a mad man on the flats. Or maybe gear it to run the tough hills and speed along on more flat terrain. Hm, so many variables. Alls I know is, yer gonna get dirty.

i can understand the appeal of single speed but i think i'll keep it for just going to the bar. a full gear range is really, reallly nice to have.
