Was riding this route around 6pm and dropped a Banjo Bros grocery bag pannier without noticing it. (I suspect one of the hairy rail crossings on Terminal Rd was at fault.) Re-traced my steps after sunset with my cell phone as flashlight, but didn't see it. Did one of you lovely people happen to pick it up?

Those RR crossings are pretty bad. I went that way on Saturday. I hope you find them.
IIRC, there are a few folks here that commute that way--Joe, Reptile, and Brick.

Aww, I hope you find it.

I lost the same pannier that way, too (or maybe it was the other grocery pannier with the top...); I thought maybe the bungee cord wasn't tight enough. But it seems like it's not just me.

(I never found mine; I replaced it and padlock the handles to my rack now. It's not going to stop anyone with a pocket knife, but it keeps them from escaping into the wild.)

Arkel panniers lock to your rack so they can't just come off. The Arkel Shopper is the best grocery hauler ever IMO.
Bill.

Yeah, my Minnehaha market pannier came off one of the hooks crossing the tracks by Quincy ST NE. Luckily, my stop was a few blocks later. I do like how the Arkel ones go around the rack tube- I borrowed a pair from a friend last fall, they are nice.
