Electric assist Yuba Mundo for $1300. EA doesn't do anything for me but I'm sure you could remove and sell it secondhand.

Both too big for me.

I want a LHT (or other purpose built touring bike) so bad I can taste it. This is on my list as a reasonable alternative.

I just can't do 1k+ any time soon. $500, I could pull off, but it'd hurt.

I have the opposite problem - I'm tall enough, can't drop $500. If only we could combine resources to solve my problem...

i test rode the 56 steamroller the other night. nice bike. really nice 40 hole dyad wheels.

with the 42's that are on it the fit was just a little too snug on the standover. my steamroller is a 56. fits great. but the higher BB on cx bikes always makes me step down a size.

now you know. and knowing is half the battle.

Pretty sick deal, if you are looking for a Medium Santa Cruz carbon full suspension bike
Thomson Masterpiece stem and seatpost, XTR hydro disk brakes, Shadow F&R der (11-32), XT cranks, American Classic hubs strung up to Stans tubeless, Small block 8 2.1, Rock Shock SID Race 100mm fork.

$800
Pretty sure you could part this out for nearly $1200-1600 if you were so inclined.
Or slap a saddle on there and rip shit up.
