Maybe he cut the derailer cable too short and didnt want to run back to the LBS, had a hose clamp, and voila!

That looks like the chain would engage more teeth in that design.

Not on CL, but I think it's hilarious that someone is trying to sell a Motobecane Phantom Cross SS bike at the Hub for $350. The thing comes with worn-ass tires and crappy pedals and someone believes they can sell it for $50 less than a brand new one?

It looks like the adjustment screws are on the front of it though, which is always good for keeping them clean and in top shape
