Looking for a frame. Canti bosses a must. Aluminum a plus. Mountain or road, but if it's road I need some mega clearance for fatties. 17-19", 55-58 cm.

Winter bike time.

Also, any SRAM road parts you have lying around.

I'm looking for a complete 3-speed for next year's 3 Speed Tour, regular size ladies model. I can overhaul it, but i'd rather it have all the parts, and it must be English.

edit: DONE. thanks, Beau. Pictures to follow eventually...

Does anyone have a good quality mountain crankset with 170 mm arms? I would prefer that it is Isis compatible, but I might also be interested in octalink or x-type compatible cranks too.

I need a sealed BB, can be used. How do I measure the shell for correct size?

I need a pair of knobby 27" tires for my winter ride. I'm looking for something wide enough to give me some grip, but thin enough to fit on an older road bike. Used would be just fine as I'm not looking to spend a whole lot.

Wanted: A black Brooks B-15 saddle any condition. I would prefer an older one from the 50's or 60's, but I'd consider any age.

Hey Bobbyd,

I have a stem that would be perfect for this (that I meant to bring to the swap) and would be very cheap. You can take a look at it if you like when I find the skewer for that wheelset.

First of all, what is the make/model of the frame that you are building up?

The shell will either be 68 or 73 mm wide. Just take a metric ruler and hold it up to the outside of your BB shell. . . but then you also are probably going to want to know what spindle length you have. BTW, what spindle type are you looking for?

Ooh, a pair of v-brakes and some levers. Need to be at least 100 mm tall to accommodate fenders.

i'm looking to buy a couple of solid steel frames in the 55-57cm range

One would be a touring frame, preferably "vintage", Fuji, Trek, Miyata, Nishiki, Bridgestone from the 80s or so... or anything comparable... i'm open to suggestion... I find I really like the look of the older bikes and want to customize instead of buying something new although damn that Rivendell Atlantis is super HOT.

Another would be a frame that i would use as a commuter/ in-town bike, maybe convert to single speed (so horizontal dropouts) and I would really like both fenders and racks, so must have ample space for that... does this exist?!

I'm an avid bike rider not completely satisfied with my current set-up... so I'm learning a lot, and I semi-know what I want, I just don't know where to find a large selection of used frames or know how to tell if a frame is decent and easy to work with (as far as customizing). Suggestions?

I've been checking craigslist and ebay, but think it's better to start networking, so here i am, what do you think?

thanks!

Michael from the Hub was very helpful in this process. I just used the DIY shop at the Minehaha location and put in three diff. BBs as we guessed at necessary length for a fixed setup. I knew it was 68 but needed the spindle length as you mentioned and I have next to no experience figuring that out. Best part is, I brought in a Blue Sky coupon that was going to expire the day I went there and ran up a $70 bill and then left forgetting to use it. *smacks head*
