For those of you who don't know (maybe everyone does by now, and I'm an asshole), ZipCar is kind of like Nice Ride for the automotive world - short-term rentals without the expense/hassle of ownership. ZipCar has been a big part of my ability to be CAR-FREE in Los Angeles. That and moving near a metro station...and my custom-built Capricorn!
I realize they've had a few cars there for over a year, but now they are seriously expanding. If anyone is considering signing up, please shoot me your email address. If you join through the invite link they'll send you, we BOTH get a $25 credit. Most of my rentals are $9-18, including gas!

ME, and summertime in Minneapolis...I'm a-comin'! I'm back the first week of July - for Underwear Ride/Freedom from Pants, and CONvergence - that's it this time. I know, my visits grow shorter and shorter each year. What can i say - Hollywood calls.
