i cracked one a few nights ago. its tasting pretty good right now. by no means my favorite sour. but a great first attempt for surly, and just a great beer in general.
i think this has a little bit to go before it will get to where i really like it. not quite enough brett funk character for me right now. ill be cellaring my other bottle until this time next year, and hopefully picking up another one to put about 2 years on.
i love skol, what a great shop. hope you got yourself a Life and Limb while you were there. they still have devil dancer and just got bells oracle in too if youre into the hoppy stuff.

Fun fact: Skol's web site proudly proclaims that their phone number is 612-RAW-BEEF. They also love handing out 2 dollar bills for change, if you pay in cash which not many people do these days.

OMG sweet. Y'know, I was going to do laundry tonight, but that party sounds better. Tracy's, man does that bring back memory's. It was my second home through out most of the 80's. I was good friends with one of the owners (Tim) and his manager (Paul). Tim and his partner at the time have long since moved on. Another tidbit, I setup and poured the stairs down into the basement. Skol's Liquor. In the 60's they had a bi-plane that would fly over Memorial stadium during gopher football games. It towed a banner that said "Skol Liquor dial raw beef" Kiddy corner from Skol's, the park. Anyone remember when there was no park but instead business along 25th and houses behind them? Al

Hey, who's going to Darkness Day Saturday? More importantly, who plans on not buying the full six bottles and can therefore pick up one or two for me?
