I really hate seeing other cyclists blow* red lights. Maybe I'm just jealous. Probably. I am a petty, bitter hater and I will end up all alone in an tiny apartment with fifty bicycles and two cats. But I still hate it. Especially when I've stopped at the light and am standing there like a dork and the drivers are all staring at me like I'm about to run the light any second.

* Note that using the unchanging red rule does not constitute blowing the light, but you have to stop and wait for it to apply.

I view blowing through red lights the same and stop signs. Both are illegal, highly dangerous and completely undermine the work so many have been doing for the biking community.

My family may call my crazy and smile and laugh while the ask about my biking escapades but they get downright mad when someone brings up bicyclists blowing through red lights and stop signs. They specifically bring up how horrible they would feel and how they'd have to carry the emotion and the memory through their whole life if they killed a biker, and how it's completely selfish for the biker to make that choice.
