Sad, that makes four of my local independents closed this year; Cliquot, Betsy's, Vera's and now Firefly. even the non's are heading south as well. espresso royale in stadium village, the dun bros right next door. if you drink coffee, don't make it at home. shell out the dollar and cents and keep your community worth living in.

Espresso Royale is basically independent - it's as independent as Bad Waitress and Spyhouse, anyway.

If Espresso Royal is gone, I wonder how long the Purple Onion can hold out?

it's the royale in stadium village, not dinkytown. the onion has sucked lots of air since it moved and changed it's clientele.

Soufside brahdawg. No that's OK, you can stay home. Plus I don't consider it smack-talking, pretty sure what I said was true.

Old: Grumpy's NE The jukebox kinda sucks, the place is too small, and the drink prices are not especially good, but somehow it's still one of my favorite bars in NE. Probably means I have bad taste. New: (I suggest you try the chana daal)
