Wire wheel... great idea. Did it leave any work marks in the metal? How long did it take you?

to answer dale cannon, this was an old frame with only 1 layer of a thin blue
paint,2 and 1/2 hours to strip and the hardest spots to get out were the
rusty ones,no harsh damadge to frame, but i will steel wool before the
primer goes on,now the forks that i ordered came in black and were a bitch to strip about 8-10 layers of paint,,,,,,,

and on top of that i was holding the fork with my foot and (dumbass move)
because my shoe lace got caught in the wire brush,
needless to say sanded my foot as well

acslater149 nope was a vinal sticker

more pics to come......

Great job on the DIY paint removal. I just recently spent about an hour sandblasting my old Stingray frame and that old paint was tough! It's probably from all that lead in the paint.

Have fun painting.

Isn't that painted chainring going to make a huge mess of your drivetrain?

Are there caps in the ends of those bars? Safety first. I do like the paint job though.

Great, now you've got me thinking about crashing and taking a core sample of my leg with my handlebars. :o

Also, the bike looks pretty good!
