Gravel racing, as some of you may know, has grown exponentially in the last five years here in Minnesota. We here at Almanzo have been a first hand witness to the growth and as a result have decided that if we are to see the gravel racing and riding continue to thrive, we must get organized.
So with that, we are proud to announce the Almanzo Project. While we are still in the process of filing for non-profit status, we are already hard at work creating a solid foundation upon which new events can be built and existing events can prosper. We have no desire to mandate the manner in which these events are to be held, rather our hope is to promote, motivate and inspire individuals to live healthy lifestyles through the participation in non-profit bicycling and other similar events.
What this means is that we will continue to produce free events like the Almanzo 100, the Royal 162, the Gentlemen's Ride, the Wilder Foot races and all of the other smaller events that we run each year. We will also lend our hands to the efforts of other interested events like the Westside Dirty Benjamin in Chaska, the Dirt Bag in St. Cloud and many more.
We are excited to move forward into the next chapter of our existence and our grateful to have had your support from the beginning. We look forward to meeting those of you we have not yet met and cannot wait to see those we already know again. We thank you for your consideration and humbly ask that you consider making a contribution to our cause. Donations can be received through the
almanzo.com site at this time whilst we await the documentation per our non-profit status.
Thank You and Much Respect,
Chris Skogen & Crew
