The thread about the Greenway & 28th accident got me thinking about a list about poorly maintained bicycle infrastructure, as well as planned bicycle safety improvements that got put on hold.
One route that comes to mind is the striping on Riverside between Cedar and 94. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be four lanes, or two lanes with a center turn lane and bicycle lanes. A quick glance at traffic on the road shows that this is not an uncommon problem.

I understand that they are going to resurface Riverside this summer and that's why it has been left to rot.

Not just resurfaced. It will be totally rebuilt; half this year and half next year. It will mostly be one traffic lane and a bike lane in each direction plus a center turn lane.
The designs look good.

I have mixed feelings for Riverside. I hate the shape of the surface and the ambiguity of the fading paint, but I salute the city for installing bike lanes on it. There was a choice to be made whether the city should do a study of Riverside traffic patterns and then decide what to do, or just paint a bike lane and see what happens. While I disagree with their thoroughness in the execution, I think it's great they installed a bike lane with such haste.

Some from the top of my head...
The bike land on 15th Ave SE where Audrey Hull was killed still doesn't exist.
Legal parking in the N 7th St Bike Lane between Golden Valley Road and Spring Lake Rd forces bikes into traffic.
Missing bike lanes on Minnehaha between Franklin and 26th. Plus there is a 2" concrete seam gap aka "wheeltrap" next to the lane.
Bike Lane on 4th St SE wasn't swept this year.
Bike lane on Plymouth Ave is about 14" wide not including the gutter.
None of the Bike lane symbols in the bike lanes have been repainted.
Only one of the lines on 1st Ave was redone.
Hennepin Ave is a joke....
2nd St by the Gutherie has had numerous pavement patched done with no repainting of the lanes over them.
Maybe we should shoot a video.

Maybe one of our advocacy groups will pick up the banner of maintaining what we have as one of their key advocacy points??

18th Ave NE: Tons of cracks/potholes, barely any paint left to show the bike lanes and sharrows, RARELY swept to curb, and no enforcement for parking in the bike lanes

The little trail and the road by Brownie Lake between Cedar Lake and Theo Wirth. I am positive the moguls on the bike trail there were what broke a spoke on my wheel last month.

The road is no different. Might be better if you took the access road to Penn and then dropped down to CLT from there. Take it all the way to the river. Also the connector along Dean Parkway between Cedar Lake Trail and the Greenway.

Sometimes I think we're so focused on adding more miles that improvements to existing trails is just ignored. The brownie trail needs more than just a resurface - it needs a bit of reroute as well - that hill is stupid. The paint thing is sort of a different issue as most bike lanes etc are painted when the road is painted, and believe me there is a lot of paint missing everywhere in the city.

The problem with this post, and I'm sorry to say this, is that EVERY advocacy group has far more on its agenda than it can actually achieve. Now, if someone cares passionately about a subject, they can join an appropriate group, and the group can back them up and help them get something done. But none of us can do anything if the community doesn't get involved. We simply don't have the time, the money, or the manpower. Gabriel

We can't just sit around like baby birds waiting for better bike stuff to be delivered to us. Each one of these are perfect little grass-roots advocacy projects with someone that cares behind it already.

So if I've called 311 about all those that I posted and have emailed various people who work for the city about them, what should I do next?
