Just waiting for someone to post details here, not just glib tongue-in-cheek comment, as I'm evidently the last guy in North America NOT on fakebook.
Is there still early Registration at that Dive Bar off of Broadway? When is 'normal' Registration on Saturday? Where is it? The 'normal' place? When does the slog begin? I need to work on Saturday-- how early should I get off of work?

You can pre-reg at Trash Bags (515 Washington Ave N) - top floor - Friday night - alleycat rolling off at 8 but thing starts and ends there so you should be able to register anytime in the evening
"Normal" registration starts at 11:30 on Sat (One on One) - almost a rally in the alley

Things are shaping up nicely to be a day to remember, whether that's a good or a bad thing remains to be seen. Suffice it to say, I'm going to NEED some of that nasty-ass, bottom-shelf Tequila and the many layers of clothing cobbled together, mixed and matched, to finish HALF of this slog, in this, a true Minnesota Winter's Day. REMEMBER, there's glare ice under some of that fresh-fallen snow, and the already addled motorists out today will be playing carnival-ride bumper-cars on it when the next Alberta-Clipper whips through later this-afternoon.
Good Luck to all who're Riding today!

I know this is only my first post, and it was my first alley cat, but Saturday was the most fun I've had on my bike all winter. There is something magical about taking back the streets with a pack of bikes and saying fuck you to the cars.
Also the beer and cranking it between stops wasn't too bad either.

I felt this way when I first discovered that biking isn't for sidewalks (seriously, my hometown was brainwashed that way). Soon, you'll discover that there is no need to "take back the streets", as they're typically pretty easy to share. However, the occasional fuck you to the cars is absolutely permitted, but - you'll usually feel much better if you just fart rainbows at them. Anyway, glad you duggit! Come awn out to the No Name Alleycats (first sunday of every month - meet at 6:30pm at Father Hennepin Bandshell).

I was trying to think of a way to say this, but this is more eloquent than what I would have spewed.

I mostly meant how much fun it is to bike w a pack of people; I guess I just need to make a point to do it more often! All the commuting in the dark alone is getting to me, I think...

I will try to check it out next month. I'm not particularly fast but it is a lot of fun. So long as you don't have to bike to St. Paul.
