So what happened?

I ran into the back of a car on SE 4th St. yesterday. Kind of grazed the side of it. Tumbled onto the street, hitting my shoulder in the process.

So what happened?

Well, I had a second round of x-rays and professional opinions yesterday. I guess they think it looks alright, but I am not too thrilled about the pain or the 6 week furlough.

Fixie, that part is right, but I have two brakes. Don't know what happened. I have been having some issues with my front double-pivot binding, and tektro's use of 4mm allen heads didn't help me disassemble the pieces of junk at all. I think I slammed the front on, it just wasn't enough/fast enough. Definitely gonna upgrade those brakes to something a bit more weather sealed.

Why did you need to quick-brake? Ah never mind...

Well, the car slammed on their brakes right after that light on 13th Ave., and I didn't see their brake lights (sun? I don't know why). I hit my brakes and tried to swerve around them, but I didn't quite make it, and clipped the right edge of the car. Considering, I think I should have been able to stop in the distance I had, so I am not quite sure what went wrong.

That is a way cooler story than hitting a parked car. It had only been parked for 0.25 seconds!

Take lots of vitamin D supplements so your bones heal up quick.

Did you dent or scratch their car?

I got the plastic-y tail light assembly pretty broken, but I wouldn't call that a case of "you should have seen the other guy."
