Just 20 minutes ago 3 dumb ass teenage boys jumped another teenage boy and stole his bike. All I know about the bike is that it's a copper-colored bmx bike with some spray paint on it. 2 pegs. One thief had a ponytail, and lighter skin, another one was a skimpy Somalian kid with short hair and a red sweater and shorts, not sure about the third. Bah, dumb kids, I hope the po-po catches them.

I presume you are referring to her support of the "stand your ground" law when you say "gun mongering".

Where's the racism though? I skimmed it, and I didn't see anything that jumped out at me in the posts. Maybe I missed it.

The facebook page, like a lot of crime-watch pages, strikes me as a mix of fear-mongering and OCD.

I follow it. I ignore the commentary and definitely try not to expand the comment threads, but I appreciate knowing what's going down in my neighborhood.

Same...I could give two shits about what people say on there. I just like knowing what is going on and where in NE stuff is happening.

This thread didn't have any racism but a lot do. However, ignoring racism won't make it go away. There are a lot of idiots and assholes who post there but a few rational people too. They're all working to the same general goal of safety. I think being safe in your neighborhood trumps any difference of opinions I may have with the conservatives and racist fear mongerers there.

That said I do take many opportunities to point out the fallacies in their pro gun arguments. Seriously, if someone has a severely lazy eye they shouldn't own a gun. Who the fuck knows where the bullet will go?

Jenn's right about her being crazy. Even an amateur facebook stalker can see that she creates fake accounts to throw her personal beliefs into threads. It's kinda sad that she feels her stance is so weak that she has to back it up with multiple personalities.

But anywho, safety first. Even for rednecks who should have moved to Fridley long ago.

*heh* sounds like there are a lot of us that watch Crime Watch NE.

There was one user on there that really seemed to take a lot of the crap over the top - Duece something or other - blocking him makes the forum much more useful.

Anyway, I used to spend more time posting in the comments threads there and still do post actual news to their wall, but like other people here, I mainly still follow it because it appears to be a pretty quick way to get informed about stuff happening in the neighborhood.
