my best bro a-train had his pugsley stolen in saint paul. here's a list of notable parts to help identify it: custom platform front rack made by the man himself, like this (not the exact rack...his is elevated more): Pugsley front rack by atrain cycles, on Flickr paul brake levers, thumbies with 9spd downtube shifters origin8 space bars (the old style that look the same as the on one mary) mr. whirly 20/32/bash crank speed v saddle some early generation pogies made from a down jacket (probably removed as they were a bit of an eyesore) xt/marge wheels seca 900 light vis 180 tail light xtr rear derailleur possibly a u-lock dangling from the top tube Fashionable by timlupfer, on Flickr

(Is this why it wasn't in his mom's garage that one time?) no, that's because I don't listen or follow instructions well. this just happened yesterday. they hacked through the top tube of his 1x1 to get the pugsley (they were locked together).

Real sorry to hear about the bikes. I don't mean to be insensitive, but that really sounds as if they knew what they were after. I'd like to see a picture of that. Say no, it's OK.

Say no, it's OK. oh, I don't mind the request as neither bike was mine, but unfortunately that's the same reason I cannot provide photos. I haven't seen it in person, but he said they chopped out a section of the top tube. I agree about the thief knowing what they were after. sadly I've heard this story A LOT recently at our shop.

reptile wrote: damn...stolen pug and a wrecked 1x1? Definitely keep my eyes out for the pug. Yeah, A-train just sent me a pic of the 1x1 via phone. Looks like about a 2" gap was cut out of the top tube. Being a framebuilder, he can repair it (and intends to), but still. Sucky.

If you catch whoever did that, you should give them a hacksaw and a pair of handcuffs
