I just heard from the CL poster - if this is the OP's bike - I have the perp's cell number - could arrange a meeting with the cops

keep it on hand just in case, but from the post regarding the stolen le monde fillmore (who's bars are visible in the above photo) it sounds like the police are already involved.
the person had a "carbine" niner and scott road/tri bike listed last friday, though it appears they've been removed now.

OP just text me saying that the police recovered this bike.

Hopefully the other bikes from this post are recovered as well!

CHEERS on the recovery! Well done on the part of those who tracked this down.

I really hope that the thief faces some consequences

Hey everyone just to let you know about the details about the felt bike. The police in the third precinct recovered it yesterday along with some other bikes he had on craigslist so they arrested him! I was able to pick up my bike today, pretty amazing! The officer told me that they are trying to crack down on all the bike theft and this summer alone they recovered over 300 bikes! If your bike is still out there, don't give up and keep in contact with the police, especially the 3rd precinct! Good luck everyone and thank you for all the support from those who helped me find my bike!!!

Additionally,
Don't go for these bikes on your own, involve the cops! The officer told me that the guy they arrested had a gun on him as well! They know about the lemond fillmore bike, but they haven't recovered it yet. They are hoping to get more info out of the guy they arrested to find it. A few other bikes they did recover from him tho.

This is such excellent news. So glad the thief was arrested. It must be an incredible feeling to get your property back!

Just another +1 for mplsbikelove!
