So, a century is no longer an obstacle for me so I was thinking the next big goal i'd love to tackle is 100 miles of dirt and filth on my pugsley, any ideas?

Multiple laps of cuyuna? Or riding the chain of lakes this winter. Incorporate the creek and it'd be fairly easy

Chequamagon 100. Do it. Maybe do the Chequamagon 40 for practice first.

If non-race format is more your cup of tea, I think River Bottoms can be linked up to stuff south of the river to make it 100 miles, and it will probably be easier than the stuff at CAMBA, which has some brutal climbs.

This was my thought. You can travel along the river from basically MOA to Jordan, and 90% of it will be dirt.

Is this a tricky path or does it just kind of happen? I've only gone so far before turning around down there.

I've been fantasizing about doing a tour of single track. The idea is to start near minnehaha falls. Ride Fort Snelling Park (do pike and picnic island, take the west side of snelling lake). Then Using Riverbottoms trails (between American blvd/sibley house and bloomington ferry - link up murphy, terrace oaks, and lebanon hills - do at least ten miles of single track at each place). That should give you about 100 miles (if you do maybe 20 miles at lebanon) with only about 25-30 miles being on pavement. Or just go to Theo and do 30 laps! (this is something i've also been fantasizing about!)

Let us know what ride you do go on, it should be a good one!

edit: The Maah Daah Hey's a tickle over 100 miles :) ... That will get you and your bike dirty enough.... But, I guess if we're going to expand your radius to an 8 hour drive away ... I think there's a lot to choose from.

Tigerbeat, we really need to ride together more. I'm eyeing up a Salsa Beargrease.

jon, check out this thread of mine for some details about the route I mentioned.

would you two be interested in taking on this endeavor with me? I'm going to be completely busy with work and moving until after 9/1 but I am good to go after that.

Yeah, I'll probably do the trip again this fall.
It'll be bikepacking-style, though. Bring all your gear trying to avoid panniers. We'll ride southwest on Saturday, camp at MN Valley State Park, and ride back Sunday.
I bet tigerbeat and a few others would be down, as well. Maybe get a group of a half dozen or so.
Probably campsite #27, too.

I had ideally planned on doing this as a one day adventure.
