I've always taken US 8 to US 63 from Taylor's Falls.

I'd like to revive this. Is there anyone that can give me a good hint as to a worthwhile (gravel, trails, low traffic highways) route between osceola and hayward?

I've done the googlemaps bit and well, it's a good starter, but I think I'll have to tweak a bunch of the routing.

Anyone have any leftover gmaps or insights? Leaving tomorrow - so, anything'll help!

Only made it to spooner. Didn't leave til 10pm on Friday (after that awesome storm) and only had an hour or so of sleep (road through the night). I was humbled to realize how poorly body rides on such little rest. It was an interesting/great ride to say the least, but if anyone's looking for a solid route from minneapolis to spooner/trego/hayward - this route is a good start

One thing everyone should know is that the stower seven lakes trail is fantastic. However, it turns into the Cats eye (?) trail at Amery. It goes from perfect/packed limestone gravel to pinch flat city (an atv trail between amery and turtle lake).
