The sidewalks are turning into skating rinks as we speak; I expect the trails and streets are much the same. I'm breaking out the Yaktrax tomorrow for sure.

Anyone been on the Greenway or other off street trails in MPLS? Are they icy or what?

Trails/streets ,its all good. One street with a severe concave surface was pure washboard ice about 1/8" thick, just about to melt.

Bloomington Ferry Crossing will probably be ice-ice-ice until we get some consistent snowfall again.

Minnehaha parkway trail was sandy as all hell, but mostly free of ice.

Sandy is also how I would describe E River Pkwy path. Some icy patches visible.

What's the Low Road look like right now? Rideable of I put fatties on the Cross Check or should I take the MTB? Can't imagine fat tires are necessary right now... Thx.

The Greenway, at least from Bryant to Kenilworth, was quite treacherous tonight. Ice, snow-covered ice, and snow almost everywhere. I saw a rider fall on a straight, flat, ice-covered section near Freemont. Studs are definitely recommended!
Wirth and Cedar Lake Parkway trails were in much better shape, but icy in spots.

Greenway and LRT (UMN to Minnehaha) are mostly clean, but every now and then there are patches of well-polished ice, sometimes covering the whole trail. I regretted I had studs on up to the point where I came across them.

Greenway from Bryant to Kennilworth, Kennilworth from Greenway to Cedar Lake Parkway, Cedar Lake Parkway Trail to Wirth Parkway, and Wirth Parkway trail to 55 (except for usual stretch from Ewing to 394) are all plowed down to a thin layer of crusty ice/snow and are in pretty decent shape. Bryant and Dean Ramps are unplowed. Watch for piles of snow at street and path crossings.

Has anyone ridden the Bloomington Ferry Ped Bridge today? I'm thinking about riding tomorrow, but it was quite icy last week and I ended up having to walk more of the trail than I would've liked to. I'm a little nervous that it is even worse after the rain/freeze since last week.

Northeast: wet mushy snow. It's a shame the streets are plowed just once after the snowfalls and left nearly unridable until the sun does its job.

The snowplow was just getting set-up on the Stinson leg of the MDT this morning at 9:00ish...hopefully it's cleared this afternoon b/c it was untouched yesterday/this morning.

Headline:
It's February, and the First Ave bike lanes downtown are a complete joke.
Full of slick ice and impassible snow. And jerkoff morons who park in the bike lanes even though all the other cars around are parked coorectly. Maybe when the bill to make this illegal (again) passes. Oh wait MPD doesn't care about people parking in lanes.
