There is a ton of green broken glass spread across the Greenway just west of Emerson. I called it in to 311 but I don't know how long it will take them to get to it.

All overpasses as icy as f*ck. Felt I should clarify my post. I only rode the LRT not the greenway but since they are plowed in the same pass, its assumed the greenway is plowed.

rode the greenway around 8:30am this morning. Bryant Ave. was pretty garbage. Bryant Ramp wasn't plowed but the greenway to hopkins wasn't too shabby except for the crossings but most of those I was able to pizza cutter it through.

Is it just me, or is it absolutely  that the ped paths on the Lake/Marshall bridge were not cleared yet? It looked like hundreds of people had crossed. I wasn't willing to brave the mashed potatoes well beyond the shoulder on the mainline of the bridge with cars going 40+ trying to get ahead a space or two. So I CX'd it for the uphill half of the bridge  then took the lane and hammered it down for the downhill half. Not recommended without serious tires (or nerves?)! Most of Summit was surprisingly good given the scale of the storm. Very icy at stoplight intersections. Worked in my favor, but I was extremely wary of the high-revving, sideways-sliding, getting-nowhere-fast cars as each light turned green. Slightly less great East of Lexington, but still doable with reasonable tires. I'm guessing it was so cut and dry with a big storm that they got every car off of Summit last night and cleared it right to the curb. I'm starting to think Summit's problem is death by a million cuts. Lots of little snow events followed by scattered plowing around parked cars eats up the extra room and creates a slippery BMX course as we get farther into winter. It was good to be on the bike today!

North/South paths along the Miss (both sides) all appear passable to good. Some bare pavement even.
Marshall Ave & Lake St. bridge are a train wreck. WB next to golf course has sidewalk with clear, dry pavement.
Franklin Ave bridge is very good, approach routes (street) are passable but rough. The hill east of the bridge is problematic.
University Ave West of Fairview in St. Paul is very rough.
Park ave Greenway to Downtown is passable but rough.
Greenway is good (river to Park ave), recommend crossing Hiawatha on Sabo bridge.
It's my 8th winter. I ride a hardtail with studs.
